Gigi’s ad just launched in the new issue of Transworld. We shot it on location, deep in the backcountry of Alaska. I spent 16 days up there, posted up, waking up every morning and looking outside for sun. Finally new snow had came, and the sun FINALLY came out. It was projected to be a [...]

THANK YOU BILL

Just wanted to say thanks to Hurricane BILL delivering the goods! It had been flat on the Cape for almost a month.

The following photo essay pulled from The Snowboard Journal, circa 2005

In the following ten pages you will see five sets of photographs arranged in groups of two. Each photo represents one aspect of snowboarding, while the groupings are intended to show the contrast between them.

HOOD…AND OUT

Hood shoot is now complete, the crew caught their flights home. I rounded up all my gear, finished off the edit and caught some quality Portland time visiting bike shops and the local homies. Out to Arizona for the weekend then back to VT on Monday. Peace, Blotto

Our crew got in the [...]

We [...]

PDX- 8 of 9 2010 Nike Ads Complete

Last week we shot AD number 8 for the NIKE SNOW 2010 AD CAMPAIGN. The whole ad campaign is based off of a concept of mine called “Birds eye of snow”.
I wanted to create an action campaign with a unique perspective throughout. I then proposed a birds eye view, of each of the NIKE riders. [...]

UntoldTrueStory: Grant Brittain

Swank. The classic TWS shot.
Grant Brittain. Photographer.
There have been many people over the last three decades who picked up a camera in the name of skateboarding. I think you would be hard pressed to pick one that has had more of an impact than Grant Brittain.
He took some time out of his inevitably busy work [...]
