This image of Patrick Armbruster, a cinematographer for Absinthe Films made it to the finals and to print in the Celebrity/Editorial section. This was an editorial assignment, shot on location at our hotel in Haines, Alaska. On one of many down days up there, I setup my seamless that I lugged up there, in the cafeteria room of the hotel. When creating this portrait, I wanted to highlight the Patrick’s face, the main part of the shot. Then creating a silhouette of the camera and his gear, I was hoping to tell the story that he is a cinematographer, subtly.
